LAFAYETTE, La. (KADN) — The illegally fired former library director has just been appointed as the interim director.
The library board of control met and voted unanimously on Monday, April 29, to appoint Danny Gillane as the interim director until a permanent hire can be made.
Gillane was illegally fired last year by the board and then was allowed to resign after suing it.
Ironically, he now has his old job back, at least for the time being.
Gillane is one of a half-dozen people who have applied to be the permanent director.
