Kimberly Culotta, Co-owner of Fightingville Fresh Market, stopped by News15 at Noon to share the details on their application period for their grow community growers program!

Residents on Lafayette’s Northside who are interested in growing their own food, especially those who may have difficulty accessing food in a grocery store, and are low income, may apply to have a garden installed and get supplies, support and training to grow their own food at no cost
Thanks to a grant funded by United Way of Acadiana’s Lafayette Initiative for Food Equity, Fightingville Fresh Market will be able to equip 22 new backyard growers with all the tools, seeds, plants and knowledge they will need to start growing their own food. Every situation is different and we are eager to work with people who want to garden, even if they don’t have access to land (yet)! No gardener is too small to apply, and no ambition too big!
Application accepted through the month of August.
All residents of Lafayette's Northside are eligible to apply. Priority will be given to those with low income.
