BALDWIN, La. (NEWS 15) — Baldwin Police Chief Anthony Gibson said this year's Mardi Gras parade will not roll.
He made the announcement on Wednesday, January 8.
Chief Gibson cited construction on US 90 and a rash of recent shootings as his reasons for canceling the parade.
It was scheduled to roll on Saturday, March 1, at 1 p.m.
The most recent shooting late on Tuesday, January 7, sent three people to the hospital.
