Louisiana set to face TCU in Isleta New Mexico Bowl

NEW ORLEANS — The Louisiana Ragin’ Cajuns football team has accepted its invitation to play in the 19th annual Isleta New Mexico Bowl in Albuquerque, N.M., on Saturday (December 28) to take on Big 12 opponent TCU. 

Louisiana (10-3), making its seventh straight bowl trip, will make its first appearance in the Isleta New Mexico Bowl and its 14th overall. The Ragin’ Cajuns own an official 7-4 mark.

TCU (8-4) won its last three games of the season defeating Oklahoma State, Arizona and Cincinnati in Big 12 play. The Horned Frogs are led by head coach Sonny Dykes with Lafayette native and former St. Thomas More product Jack Bech, the team’s leading receiver.

Kickoff for the game, which is played at University Stadium on the campus of the University of New Mexico, is slated for 1:15 p.m. CT and will be broadcast nationally on ESPN.
