LAFAYETTE, La. (KADN) - Lafayette Police have confirmed to News15 that a juvenile was injured in a shooting in the 2500 block of E. Simcoe Street near Michael Allen Boulevard.
Police on the scene said that it happened about 4 p.m. Tuesday (November 2).
A verbal argument occurred in the parking lot between two adults.
During the argument one of the adults fired multiple shots in the direction of the other adult.
LPD says a juvenile was hit by the gunfire while inside an apartment.
The juvenile victim is in stable condition at a local hospital.
On November 18, 2021, the suspect 18 year old Jonathon Viltz was picked up on warrants for 3 counts of attempted murder and booked into East Baton Rouge Correctional Center
