Family identifies victim of Eunice shooting; police arrest suspect on principal charges

EUNICE, La. (KADN) — The family of the man who died days after getting shot in the head outside a Eunice home has released his identity and police have arrested a suspect on principal charges related to the shooting.

Relatives said Kameron Wilson, 24, of Eunice, was a father of three. He was shot outside of a home on Corn Street in Eunice on December 15 and died at the hospital on December 18.

In addition to shooting Wilson, police said a woman and a child were also shot and wounded. Police added the man who pulled the trigger, Aaron Jones, 38, of Eunice, took his own life.

Eunice police said Eftina Rideaux, 33, of Baton Rouge, has been arrested and charged with principal to second-degree murder and principal to attempted second-degree murder (2 counts).
