VILLE PLATTE, La. (NEWS 15) — Sources tell News 15 the body of missing woman, Keabreonna "Keke" Doucet, 27, of Ville Platte, has been found.
There was a large police presence on Wasbash Road just north of Ville Platte where her body is said to have been discovered on Monday, December 23.
If you recall, the Ville Platte mother vanished six months ago.

Perry Thomas reports that on Wednesday, December 11, the Ville Platte Police Department arrested Elrick Gallow, 52, of Baton Rouge, and charged him with the second-degree murder of Keabreonna “KeKe” Doucet, 27. In June 16, 2024, detectives from the Ville Platte Police Department began investigating the disappearance of Doucet, who was last seen June 15. Initially, Gallow began as a person of interest.

VILLE PLATTE, La. (KADN) — Ville Platte police confirmed they've taken a person of interest into custody in connection with the disappearance of a Ville Platte woman. Despite the arrest, there are still more questions than answers in this missing person's case.
Elrick Gallow, 52, of Baton Rouge, is in jail on a murder charge. He's accused of killing Doucet.
Police said the two were romantically involved.
Doucet's phone last pinged at a park near her home in June. Family members said she was on her way to pick up her daughter but was forced into a pickup truck.
